The witches have created a Fairy Castle!

The Witches have created a Fairy Castle Easy Kids Craft!! I asked them what colour should we paint the castle, they both shouted out “pink”!! This post contains *Affiliate Links!!

A beautiful Fairy Castle Easy Kids Craft!

At Nursery the little witch is learning about fairies and pirates. This is where my little witch got her great craft idea from. This is a really easy craft using loo rolls. The Witches loved  creating butterflies with loo rolls. A glittery craft that kids will enjoy. We have also created Little Red Riding hood with loo rolls. This is one of the Witches favourite books.

All you need to create the Fairy Castle Easy Kids Craft:

Start with your loo rolls first. Cut 4 rolls slightly smaller:

The witches mixed up the colours of paint to learn what colours you need to make pink. Paint the loo rolls:

Leave your loo rolls to dry out.

Next you will need the egg boxes to make the trees. Cut out the section’s of the egg box to make the trunks. The other egg box for the tree top:

You will need plenty of glue to stick these together, ours kept toppling over which was funny to watch. You can paint these if yours are a different colour to ours:

I love how the tree’s have turned out!!

Leave your beautiful trees to dry out.

Next you will need your large cereal box. You should end up with two of the same size flat boxes. You only need one of them! Glue the tabs back together again – I used paper clips to hold it together:

Paint inside and outside of the box:

The 4 smaller loo rolls you need to glue these together:

Next, using your other cereal box cut off or use plain card. Cut out a door front.  This needs to be big enough to fit on the front of the two small loo rolls:

Using felt tips or paint, draw a design on your door. I used gold acrylic paint:

Glue the loo rolls and trees on to the box.  We positioned the castle in the middle of the box, and glued the trees around. If you glue the bottom of the loo rolls, it will stick to your base:

Finished Fairy Castle Easy Kids Craft

The witches got out the fairies and unicorn and were straight in playing:

What a lovely idea it was to use loo rolls to create a castle.  Using boxes you have in your home!! Will this make you create one?

You can create Jack and the bean stalk. Combine the castle you make for Jack to climb up to. Use the two crafts as a great way for playing!!

We would love to know the story around the castle you make!!

  1. This would not only make a great craft for the idea of doing a craft, but it would look so cool sitting in a child’s bedroom. I love how you have done this!

  2. This is such a fun and creative activity for the kids to do. I love that it allows them to use their imagination.

  3. These are my favorite kinds of crafts. I love upcycling goods around the house and teaching kids to think beyond just throwing an egg carton on toilet paper roll in the trash.

  4. That is such an adorable castle! Pink was a fantastic color choice. I love how all the materials are recycled from things we usually throw away!

  5. Looking at it, I thought it would be so much effort and I wont be capable of making it myself. But this looks so beautiful and I am sure its worth the excitement for the kids.

  6. My daughter is almost 12, but she is void of video games, and texting friends, so her imagination soars! This is something that she would do one rainy day afternoon. Such a cute/fun idea!

  7. Potatoes create a great craft for stamping with paint!! Haha!! You could sign up to my Newsletter on the main page and get Craft ideas sent to your email box!! Your comment made me laugh!!

  8. okay now, I like this craft for my girls. Today they were cutting up my potatoes for crafting because “they are so bored” already!! This is right up their creative alley! Great idea for summer craft project.

  9. I have a TON of toilet paper rolls and egg cartons just waiting for a fun craft to do with them- so excited to make these with the kids!
